Anyone else who collects rocks? What is your prettiest rock?
I don't have a pic of mine but i found a nice flint one by the old abandoned port here. I assume it is ballast since flint is not native here.

I collected ALL the rocks.
Then I spread them randomly around the country because I ran out of room.

I got this one that I found at Tennessee Beach, CA. I don't have a picture, but it's got these nice ridges, almost like the wind and sand sculpted waves on it. There's also a metallic tip that's pretty cool.

My coolest find is a meteorite.
Was hiking with a friend through the desert and it just stood out. Solid black, smooth rock in a sea of tan jagged rocks.

This is a lava Rock I got from a Chinese village/nature reserve near Sanya on the island of Hainan. I've had it for like 7 years now.

I remember there was some ADhD kid in primary school that claimed he got a meteorite from his grandfather at some point, he said it was still warm when his grandfather gave it to him and he kept bringing it to every show and tell for weeks or even months. In the end his parents got it analysed for him by some place and it turned out to be just some rock that got smoothed out from being on the bottom of the river and he never boasted about it afterwards. Atleast he finally shut up about it.
