and here's the gist of the gist: I'm going innawoods to escape this modern hell to make the choice whether I should anhero. I'm doing this alone and without telling anyone.
My uni is in the city, so I'm going to take a bus to the county over and then hike deep into the woods.
I'm planning on staying out there for many weeks.
I will need your thoughts in general and more importantly about gear.
I will also need info about how to survive while I'm out there too not just to prepare. You can help me or not. You might be able to tell, if you can read, that I don't really care if I die out there. Some background about the area I'm going to: it's in Washington and it's cold.
I assume I will need a sleeping bag and a tent.
Any books and guides you got? also about foraging? Also any separate more pocketable handbooks that I can use while out there?
I will not be telling my family or any where I will be going. I will spend the time to the end of my uni's quarter and simply not register any further. So I have maybe 5 weeks to prepare.
