Thanks anon didn’t think of that. Any tips for beach fishing? Had a Japanese guy tell me to use smaller hooks and sinkers when fishing the beach. That’s about all I know. What’s a good way to capture bait?

>cast net for catching bait
>beachcomb every low tide, no matter the time
>invest in a good surf caster pole. You will prob use other poles too but you need at least one 8 foot surf caster with 3oz weights and bottom rig to catch bigger stuff
>don’t shy away from eating rays and skates
>learn how to dig clams/mussels in your area
>use a crab pot. Put it out at low tide, wait 24 hours, then collect it at next low tide

you can use fish traps for fish that get blown in by the waves, also for bait theres these things called mole crabs and let me tell ya all you need is a flashlight and a couple hours and youll have 2 buckets full of bait and/or dinner. when the previous wave that crashed on shore recedes youll see a bunch of ripples in the water with a distinct arrow like shape, basically theres a mole crab in any one of them, dig your hand in there and pull em out, they dont bite.

Based. Materialism is soo overrated. Better life a live full of experiences, regardless of the dangers, than sitting on one and the same place, meeting the same people, buying expensive useless toys and doing all sorts of stimulants. I once met an american hobo travelling in portugal at a hostel. He was such a chill guy. You can sense the enlightenment these people have. Partaking in current society is nothing else but sacrifice of your freedom for a boring, dafe and prolonged life.

I'm myself living off of wellfare, didnt have the balls yet to try this lifestyle out yet though. I did some lowcost travel but nothing like you did/do.

its worth it. I live in canada so im currently bunkering down in one of the warmest cities here on the west coast, and man i miss the road. i plan to head to halifax on freight in the spring and try to get a job at a fishery or something over there.

Shi shi beach on the olympic coast in nw washington. Robert Sund overwintered there in the early 70s in a driftwood shack. technically its a national park so you cant stay there but theres some fairly remote spots you could hide out for a while without getting caught
