Forget about weapons, they're cumbersome and so is ammo, learn how to make traps and if you wanna larp a bit, get a bow and some arrows. But for the most part you will be using traps, fishing and eating berries and make tea off of plants and weeds. Leave the guns for people, in a SHTF scenario you will want to conserve ammo and only use it on other humans who will want to kill you.
Buy tools.You should always have a hunting knife, Axe, Camp shovel and a good backpack, purifying tablets for water, survival pot (you will be grilling everything else with sticks and embers)
So you will have to read a lot, and practice a lot too. Don't larp and go outside
