It's not so bad, the chances of it collapsing on you are pretty slim.
Although one time I walked over a pile of rubble in the middle of the tunnel, right after I walked over it a bunch rock fell from the roof into the existing pile.

These mines aren't coal mines, there generally aren't any flammable gasses in them.

This is seriously a very dangerous activity and no one should be doing this unless the proper precautions are taken. Besides the potential for collapse, there are also very high levels of toxic gases and leachate in mines. I work in mining engineering and know this for a fact. Coal mines are not the only mines that have explosive gases.

Please understand that this guy is doing something that may kill him in a second, or permanently injure him. DON'T TRY THIS AT HOME.

Yeah, chances of dying are astronomically high in there, but it's fun so it's okay.
Def read up on mine safety before going inside one.
One time I was walking through this mine and not closely inspecting the floor, I ended up walking on a sheet of 100 year old plywood that was covered in dirt, below it was a 50 foot fall.

Also you should wear some kind of alarm on your ankle for gases like CO2 that pool in low places. Walking into any concentration of CO2 over 8% will cause you to blackout and suffocate. Some guy working at a plant where something was kept in a 15% CO2 environment thought he could go in for a minute without a respirator just holding his breath. He tripped and fell, gasped once, and died.
