>>2246824It is a mental thing you have to overcome. You just have to accept it. You can use reason to get rid of those worries. Especially if you camp in an area where no real wildlife is in place, everytime your paranoid thoughts come into place you just have to start beeing reasonable. Stuff like, would you be able to sleep in nature during the day? why not at night? its just dark, bot nothing else changes. Alot of predatory animals hunt the same under daylight as they do at night. So it is most likely just a fear of the dark you have. Darkness brings lack of information. Ironically in a Tent you dont have any outside information at all, regardless if its night or not. Try to sleep in a tent during the day and see if it works. The Fear of the night can be overcome.
I know what you talk about, like I had that too. Now I love to take a walk at night in nature. Or swimming or shit. I enjoy the quietness. Yeah, sometimes you hear some animal moving etc, but thats a risk you have to take. Also I mean if you go /out/ you generalyl have to accept the risk of encountering wild animals. If you are not capable of that and shitting your pants at night in a tent, then /out/ is nothing for you or you should consider the stuff i said.
Not saying it'll go completely away. And that is good like that, you should always be aware of the dangeros around you. Just don't let them take over your mind. You control your mind, and you can use reason to calm your mind. Unless you are too dumb for that.
