Mom pulled a tick off the back of my neck that was fully swollen up. I was also dead set against daily bathing as most 8 year olds are and it was summer so mom didn't always force me to bathe. I also know someone who has Lyme disease, though you'd never know it. In fact, he didn't know it until his swimming times slowed down for no reason and he missed qualifying for the Olympics.
