people who just buy wool willy nilly when it gets cold dont care about price they are simple people
once it gets warmer their simple minds dont want to wear wool anymore so they just give it away
and then when it gets cold again they go buy new clothes

discount/clearance/thrift stores
some surplus stores online have older and good stuff for decent prices if you need it now (but keep)

Blends are more durable. Ideally, 75-95% wool.

Probably filson, Pendleton, and maybe LL bean but honestly I would have an old lady that's good at sewing just make me something if I really want quality without overpaying. I have an LL bean sweater that's 100% lambs wool that wasn't too expensive
