I wish I could find a nice prairie camp spot. Very very little of the prairie has been preserved, it's mostly just farmland. Following the Red Deer river, especially near Drumheller has some preserved land.
I've camped a lot in Ontario before I moved, and a few times in the foothills of the rockies.
The prairies are very underrated and beautiful.
The feeling and sound of the wind and grass is incredible. And the prairie dogs are cute.
