Just saying, someone trained to help people deal with such ridiculous misunderstandings of reality is his best bet. If that's even more scary and triggering than toads that's even funnier and ultimately I don't care if he ever gets over his worries, just giving advice cause he asked and the thought of being so afraid if such a harmless creature is sad and funny.
