Here you can guess where this one is. This isn't google maps terrain, but rather USGS topo, but its an area I'm thinking of exploring. Topo shows a trail, (333) along a creek, no info about the trail, probably an old abandoned logging road.

Can you be more specific? Not looking for any mountains. I’m looking for hills with rounded/flat tops that form in branching patterns. I don’t know if this is specific to limestone formations

This looks just like the Knobs Region in Kentucky. The same geology also extends up into southern Indiana.

There's nowhere in China like Hill Country / Central Texas because all the places as dry as Central TX are too high elevation to be anything like that combination of topography and savannah/brush forest. There are places sort of like the high plains of West Texas in Inner Mongolia and Western China.

The places in the world that are the most like that part of Texas are in Northern Argentina and Africa. Specifically interior Namibia resembles it strongly. Check out the photospheres around here on Google, they look like they could be taken in the Big Bend or Hill Country.

Forgot to mention that the crazy thing about this part of Namibia is that it has German influences like the Texas Hill Country, the same wet summer / dry winter climate, and old colonial forts like the Missions and Presidios you find in Texas.
