Friends have 200 acre property in the hills here in Australia. Lots of rainy days, average min temp 5C in winter and average max 25C in summer. Very fertile soil. Mostly gumtrees and Blackwood, and there’s a pine plantation nearby.
Basically thinking I will hike up into the back of their property and stay for a few months/a year to just meditate and chill. Is this feasible in these conditions? Could I make a log cabin? Could I grow food? What kind of set-up and equipment would you advise? I’d try it for a holiday before committing ofc but just wondering if I’m dreaming or if there is potential here. I don’t really want to be eating wombats.
