How feasible is /out/ during the summer months in the desert southwest? I'm being priced out of my town in the Rockies and Las Cruces, NM keeps catching my eye as a good mix of low living costs and lots of surrounding public lands for recreation. The only problem is it gets super hot in the summer. Any anons live in a similar environment? How do you handle it?
