I fillet them, dip the fillet in egg and then coat them in a mixture of flower, salt, pepper, and Old Bay, then I pan fry them until the begin to turn crispy brown. I have also cooked them over an open fire while camping, but I still filleted them before cooking. I wouldn't recommend trying to eat it without filleting it first.

Yes, these taste amazing as long as you take out the blood line. Not only do they taste great, but are super easy to catch and prepare.

What do you like about Spanish Mackerel? It's thought of as a subpar fish. I've eaten them and it is quite good and I don't understand the negative thoughts about the fish but there really are better fish. It looks cool but that's about it.

I used to love salmon as a kid. Then I moved to Juneau, Alaska for a few years. Now, I still like salmon on occasion, but I will often pass on it because I used to eat it regularly. Same with crab. Quite frankly, they are not worth the price most people pay.

Not in Alaska at least. I know that halibut fishermen will commonly take a 20-gauge or a small revolver onto the boat with them to dispatch any fish they reel in that are too large to bonk with a baseball bat.

For me, it's the lake trout, the most fun fish to catch through the ice. I love having them chase my jig up and down the water column, then tricking them into taking a bite!
