This night it was snowy and it sounded like whispers. And faint chicken sounds.

I was sleeping in my 4WD far from any houses, in the outback. Still not sure if this was a dream, lucid dream or reality - but I looked to my rear drivers side window which was down about 20cm and saw a gaunt old lady staring back at me, sort of wide-eyed with a vacant smile. Picrel is closest I can find to help describe. I was fully awake shortly after, the lady had disappeared. I laid there in shock for a little bit before putting my boots on and driving on. Was around first light.

last time /out/ I heard what sounded like field mice or some other animal right outside my tent like fucking around in the bushes or something.
I ignored it but come morning i realised it was the wind flapping my tent's little base flaps because i forgot to put rocks on them

The woods are fine, I've never heard anything scary, especially at night. You should visit at night, it is very peaceful. It is best to come alone or with a small group. It is fun to walk alone at night in the dark to relax. And if your friends want to take you into the woods, just go with us they've probably found something fun out here in the woods.

I went out into the fields near Randsburg with a friend. We worked graveyard but he got off a day later then me, so he slept immediately after we set up camp. We set up along this abandoned shack near the one half wall still standing on a bit of a high spot near a vertical shaft. This is nearing sunset, and as a bit of winds pick up it sounds like animals are pacing all around us. This persists for hours while I sharpen a stick and periodically look out around us to see if I can find something. No sight of animal around at all, and the sounds persist a little before he gets up
