>>2276170been to the west texas parks a lot. the low desert areas of big bend are amazing and are really only doable in winter; its hot af the rest of the year with triple digits for almost half the year. go for it, bring a good 4x4 vehicle and camp at sites on the rio grande, swim across to mexico, find some fossils in the canyons, kayak down the river, go to their new outdoor dinosaur exhibit, take lots of pics of ocotillos and go to the nearby big bend ranch state park
i would avoid the high stuff in the chisos or the guadalupes at that time though, itl be cold af and just isnt visually as nice as summer and fall up there. whats the point of finding some of the only aspen of texas if they dont have leaves?
