>>2275544I'm more of a day tripper the past few years desu, the only real time I camp in Glenveagh now is with family that don't like doing long treks but there's lots of ways to turn a single day's climb into a multi day trip just by staying on the range and camping instead of coming down.
Walking around the Loch from Gartan down to Dubhal and the down along the spine of the park would be a good one, my personal favourite walk is up the poison valley then onto the ridge along Croaghnambrock and south to Crockback then round south west to Slieve Snaght, stop at the lough for lunch and depending on the time of year onto Crocknafarragh, Addernymore and Grogan More in series which is a pretty good distance with a lot of elevation.
I had wanted to go from Gweedore on a road march to Errigal then do Errigal and Aghla More, then head south from Aghla more onto the route above in the summer but got sick and couldn't do it, shame too as the weather was perfect for an entire week in the summer but the park was nearly empty apart from the usual swarm on Errigal.
If you pick up OSI map 1 the good routes are pretty obvious, there's good camping spaces everywhere in the park.
The only rough/sketchy spot I can think of off the top of my head is trying to descend from Slieve Snaght into the Poison glen, the slope down is quite treacherous in bad weather but apart from that mostly the going is slower not more dangerous when it starts to rain
