Lap swimming is really the ultimate in low impact safe exercise. Yoga is wonderful for balance, and e-biking I get to see the world pass by as the seasons change, much faster than you would running without all that slamming on my knees.
I've done lifting before, its ok, but being stuck inside is not very motivating. I find it repetitive. When exercising feels less like a chore, I like it more. E-biking sort of turns biking into a videogame. I'm still pedaling the whole time - the front wheel has a velocity sensor that adds torque from the battery in proportion to how fast I am going.
