Let's start a discussion on how (and why that way) to DIY build a cabin in the woods.

I'm really interested in doing something similar (if not exactly) myself. Now the most important question for me is: how long would this cabin in the video last; in terms of natural decay, 4 seasons of heat from the sun in summer, winds in autumn and spring, and snow in winter? I'm from Slovenia if any of you want to get a more better feeling of what kind of climate I'm in, but I think Longevity wise this thing can last up to a decade, maybe even two. I'm just trying to see this from a realistic point of view.
I'm going to DIY build some cabin eventually, I'm curious if cabins build this way last any meaningful time or is it better to build with logs as walls in mind.
