I think some gay men are closeted and desperate for same sex hookups but that's not really a good thing.

most gays are closeted and definitely not participating in studies - the type of gays who participate in "how much sex do you have" surveys are probably not a representative sample population
In my experience it is incredibly easy to get women to fuck me, much more so than men which is quite disappointing. If anything men tend to have higher standards - but again if you just want to suck off a closeted married old guy sure that's easy but not very desirable.
