Plastics/wood/paper gets burnt. Tins and the like I tend to leave, but that's 90% because the area I go innawoods is ex-industrial wasteland/woods so it's pretty full of human detritus anyway.

If just plain hiking, I take it home. All of it.

Camping anywhere other than my preferred ex-industrial fuckhole, I take the tins home and burn everything else.

pretty much I only pick up fishing line when I see it cuz that could harm some critters. One time I did pick up some garbage and put it in a plastic bag, DNR officer saw me hauling it out of the woods, and now he likes me lots, never messes with me and comes to me for info on poachers.
