>>2277334>he posted it againAgain, all theory and zero practice. Wool is heavy, bulky and a shit insulator compared to fleece, synthetic insulation and down. I also refuse to believe you're sleeping at the temperatures you claim, unless you're walking around wearing enough clothes to either make you sweat like an ox, or carrying enough extra blankets to make this whole discussion beyond ridiculous.
>>2277327Pack: Osprey Talon 44 w/ bin liner

Bag: Rab Neutrino Pro 400
Pillow: Nemo Fillo w/ DIY pad strap
Tent: Trekkertent Stealth 1.5 (outer only, no bugs in winter) with a Tyvek groundsheet
Cook kit: Trangia mini (used to fry burgers and make coffee for an overnight trip, I take a Toaks 750 mL pot and BRS-3000T stove on multi-day trips)
Extra clothes: socks, underwear, down puffy, fleece legging, tube scarf, beanie
Misc: poop kit, first aid kit, toiletries, knife, headlamp, battery pack, water bottle, trekking poles (mainly for setting up the tent, as the trip was easy)
I don't have a pic of my pack from that trip, but pic attached is of my hike through the Vosges in fall 2021. I used a Nemo Switchback as my pad during that trip, but I still had plenty of room to spare for a couple of days' food.
