Is there anything like this in the continental US? It seems like all the tall mountains are by themselves (i.e. Hood, Rainier, Whitney, etc) and all of the ranges with lots of mountains clumped together (i.e. Wasatch, Tetons) are much shorter, more rounded, trees all the way to the top, etc. Are the mountain ranges with clumps of the really tall, pointy, tree-less mountains only in Alaska and the Alps? The closest I'm aware of in the continental US is Mt Rainier which is just 3 peaks.
