(As I remember the story I heard once on the radio years ago)
Guide companies are trying to run people up and down the mountain faster, bringing more unfit rich people, and leaving a lot more trash. this is dangerous and makes a mess of the camps. sherpas most effected. some sherpas die in two incidents that were from guides making bad choices for speed, but everyone writes them off as tragedies to keep the industry going. some guides miss use or disrupt some ropes sherpas had put down and almost get them killed.
word gets around and that company along with some other ones (same nationality, I think they kind of click up by language and nationality in the camps) all wake up after dark to a mob of hundreds of literal torch wilding sherpa surrounding their tents about to fuck them up... well after that shit changes got made
