Why is every dispersed camping spot in the front range look like hot ass?

I just want to camp in trees with easy access to a lake to fish all day in and it seems like Grand Mesa is the only option in this fucking state

where else can I camp with fishing and forest

Grand Mesa is badass, loved grilling some trout and fishing close to my campsite. next best option i know of is halfmoon rd then drive to turquoise lake. lastly rampart reservior, gross reservoir, and grand lake. golden gate state park has a big pond a little ways from camping. i stayed at some campsite with a tiny pond outside woodland park and must have been 30 people fishing not including all the kids, left that dump
