Hello /out/. I feel that I'm better off asking this here as opposed to /k/ due to their heavy bias and causing a caliber war.

I'm looking at going spear hunting wild boar. I want a back-up handgun to take just in case, also one to use to dispatch any creatures so they don't suffer. I'm torn as to what exactly I want to get.
The way I see it my options are a 1911, which I think may be a bit too weak, a .357 Magnum revolver, a .357 Sig semi auto, a .44 Magnum revolver, or a 10mm semi auto.
I'm not worried about brands and models, I'll sort that one out on my own, but what do you all think would be my best option and why?
