Some other items that I forgot to mention are a balaclava to cover your face in extreme cold temps and a t-shirt or towel that can be used to wipe off sweat during breaks. Feel free to post your winter gear list and I or others here can make suggestions.
Also remember the saying "be bold, start cold" for winter hikes so that you're not changing out of extremely warm gear a few minutes into your hike or sweating too much. You'll quickly warm up when you start hiking and won't want to sweat profusely in the cold for obvious reasons.
This is an excellent, detailed map for the Adirondack high peaks including Marcy that I purchased a few years ago:
https://adk.org/product/high-peaks-adirondack-trail-map/CalTopo is also a very good online mapping and trip-planning resource that I use for all of my outings, ADK and elsewhere
One last thing for now: If you hike Marcy in the summer and are in good enough shape, you can see if you can add other nearby peaks like Skylight to your trip. I regret not doing this when I hiked Marcy a few years ago, so I'm planning another trip via Elk Lake that will include Skylight and Gray.
