What do you mean with yurt style?
What type of Yurt are you talking about, Mongolian, Kazakh or Kyrgyz? They have slightly different framing, only Mongolian has a middle pole, though Kazakh and Kyrgyz are harder to produce. These traditional Yurts are actually kind of complex. The wall segments called Kerege are latticework and just as the crown or wheel as a roof requires decent woodworking skills to pull off. The whole thing is held under compression by ropes, the weight of the covers and depending on the style supported by a heavy weight hanging from the roof. Given by your whole post I doubt you have any idea of what you are talking about.
If you really had as much skill as you claim you would either be able to make makeshift yurt/tent plans yourself, or would be aware of the little details you might be missing. Get your hands on something like the complete yurt handbook for the schematics you want but especially the needed instructions how to do it.
Also just to know how much you overestimate how much you overestimate your sewing skills, how long do you think it will take to finish the cover?
I doubt you can make a Yurt in just a month without experience. Some sort of ten sure but expect the result to be leaking so bring duct tape. Though don't let this demotivate you but do some research for fucks sake.
Eitherway sounds like a fun project.
