ground cucumbers
5 tbs of salt/gal of water
garlic
horse radish
dill
Boil the water and dissolve salt in it, then turn it off. Wash the cucumbers. Put 2-3 cloves of garlic on the bottom of a jar, cram cucumbers into the jar. Make sure they are tightly packed. Put a piece or two of (peeled) horse radish among them, too, then cover the top of it with a branch of dill (with its flower). Pour inside the jar the salted, still hot (but not boiling) water inside, making sure that it covers everything you've put into the jar and instantly seal it. Put it away in some place that has room temperature, but in the same time is shaded (don't use cupboard, they might be leaking). See after a two weeks which jars self-sealed and store those in your cellar or whatever (no light!). Those that didn't seal are fine to eat, just not for long-term storage.
