>>2314952That is a knife made for one thing: Stabbing
Obviously fighting knifes are an extremely poor choice for every day use, as they are not intended for this.
They are thing to make stabbing easier, but this makes them vulnerable to snapping under conditions like prying or chopping (or other hard use). Similarly they are often of a very hard steel, which tends to snap under use.
An edge on both sides of the blade is only a danger for normal knife use, and also means that you cannot use your blade for batoning.
A spear point is just made for penetrating, not for actually cutting nicely in something that you might wanna cut every day.
tl;dr look for a standard drop or clip point blade with a reasonably thick spine, full tang (i.e. metal extends all the way through the handle).
As
>>2315031 mentioned, Esee 4,5,6, Mora are good.
Another great option (especially in the US they are a steal) are the Becker BK series knifes.
BK2 is a heavy AF work horse.
BK10 is a bit longer but thinner (and uglier imho)
BK16 seems to be a good compromise in weight, thickness and abilities.
Personally I just got a BK16 myself, but I cannot really comment on how it would compare, and I haven't used it enough to really say much about the 16 anyways.
