>>230670Maybe you don't understand why people fish for trout because you've never fished for trout. The main difference is the temperature of the water where they live. Cold water holds more oxygen, allowing for more muscular fish to live in it than what could live in warmer water.
Largemouth bass
>strong fish but they don't fight hardSmallmouth bass
>fight a little harder than largemouth, but not too bad unless the fish is a monster>smallmouth caught in cooler (more oxygen-rich) streams may fight quite hard, but they tire relatively quicklyPanfish (bluegill, sunfish, etc.)
>pound-for-pound, fight the hardest of all the warmwater species.... for the first 10-15 seconds of the battle, and then they go limpishTrout
>fight hard for the duration of the fight>smaller trout caught in deep water can put up a harder fight than lake bass weighing three times as much>larger trout are strong enough to overpower your reel and make you have to feed line out as they run with your hook>fishing strategies are unique and more fun (catching a fish with a fly, you can watch the take)>locations where trout live (mountains) are more scenic than warmwater streams
