Good luck though man, seriously, if I were to offer you some wisdom for trips like these:
It will get shit. It will never live up to expectations. These trips are often filled with moments of "I will call it at the next [village/road/trailhead] and go home". Things will fail, you will realise you hate some of your meticulously researched kit, you will be lonely, hungry, cold, uncomfortable, embarrassed, unprepared, ungainly, homesick, annoyed, defeated, dirty, stinky, injured at times. This is all your comfort zone being absolutely buck broken. The only choice you have to make is - am I going to give in to the little reptilian brain telling me to crawl back to my easy, cosy life? Or am I going to change and adapt? What are you made of? You'll find out.
