I've been looking at a Poler 2man tent. its perfect, camo, roomy, easy to set up. but then it has this giant ass eyehole in it that you can see in. not exactly private.

can you guys help me find a tent?

Sure you can fuck in a tent in a national park. Just be quiet about it, those campgrounds aren't that big (avoid weekends). Probably would be easier doing dispersed camping on public land such as a national forest or BLM land. Depends on where you live in the US though.

Are you just looking for a car camping tent? Something from Cabelas would probably do nicely. If you want a backpacking tent Marmot, The North Face and Mountain Hardwear all make solid, affordable tents.

You should probably grab your own spot, in a national forest. I can only do California recommendations for spots, but I'm sure that some other anon can hop into this conversation with a recommendation for wherever you're at.

i've done it in normal camping grounds and we got a little pissy before hand so we weren't exactly discrete about it

felt a bit bad the next day when we got some 'absolutely disgusting' looks from other camp goers because they tend to be parents with young children

I'm saving up to move out. I think spring will work out nicely.

Hill country natural area is where we'd go probably. Decently deserted.

I want to go hard and backpack my whole way. But I feel like I'm not experienced enough.

I do have a super tiny jeep I can use to car camp though. Suzuki samurai. Enough room for tents and water and all. Idk if I can just wildly drive it around the campgrounds

Op I've campfucked at least 5 times and it's easy as shit. I live in Texas too and this weather is perfect for making magic under the midnight stars! I live in the DFW area and in high school I would go out with my girlfriend and all our friends and just chill in the great outdoors. Pro tip get a big ass sleeping bag that you both can fit in, makes the sexy time more easier and honestly intimate. Lots of blankets too... And wet wipes... Me and my girl were wayyyy far away(at least a hundred yards) from a peewee base ball team camping trip and we made them get up in the middle of the night and leave... Felt bad man..

you can just go to the Texas Rennaissance Festival this weekend and camp out
pretty much EVERYONE there is fucking after hours.
And it gives you a chance to try whatever tent stuff you pick up without the misery of living with your mistakes.
Other than that, you're gonna wanna wait until may. You'll freeze before march, and probably get rained out through april.
May-September is a good timeframe, though probably want to avoid the peak heatwave timeframe of early august.
