>>2307846Like I told a friend last year, every government policy/initiative is about clamping down on the common man, restricting the hell out of him, and putting him in his place. When you view things in this lens, everything starts to make perfect sense. Both major political parties are guilty of this, and any non-mainstream politician who fights for actual freedom/rights is silenced and marginalized. Look at what happened to Ron Paul in 2008 and 2012.
Over the weekend, I explored a remote wilderness area where very few people, if anybody, has ever gone before. The authoritarian fascists would love nothing more than to restrict access to these remote areas to the commonfolk.
Last year, a wilderness area where I've hiked and climbed for decades was shut down outside of a few normie trails. The rest of the area was shut down for good.
I've also noticed on federal lands (like national parks and even national forests and monuments), there are signs everywhere saying off-trail navigation is prohibited. The authorities want to herd everybody onto normie-friendly trails.
One time, I climbed a 13er out west and decided to cut the switchbacks and go straight up the mountain because I wanted a real adventure. There was a national park ranger waiting at the top, whom I didn't see, and he bitched at me about cutting switchbacks. He was a real dick about it too.
Another time, I was in a national monument out west and this cunt ranger lectured me about staying on the trail. I wasn't even that far off the trail, mind you, and just wanted to explore some cool shit. That's what we're facing today. It was never like this pre-9/11 and it's only going to get worse over time.
