I'm interested in buying some goats for milk due to my obsession with cheese making (and general disgust of grocery store pasteurized garbage, raw milk sales is essentially illegal in my state), and I think I've narrowed it down to Nigerian Dwarfs due to their small size as well as them being suited to my climate (southeast US.) I have plenty of acreage of grass as well as access to forest to feed them. With this in mind, what should I know about taking care of them? I don't have any experience with livestock, but I've heard it's best to get 2 does and 1 buck and alternate the doe lactation cycle so that one always has milk.

Can /out/ provide any guidance? Thanks anons.
