I love my Jerven bag but it's impermeable so catches all my body's moisture. What's a good sacrificial inner to use as a sponge/ moisture buffer?

I thought about using a fleece outer blanket over my down sleeping bag. That way I can get the advantages of down (doesn't degrade over time like synthetic) with the condensation being trapped in the fleece outer which will warm up and act as a wetsuit and I can wring "dry" in the morning

What would make a better material? Something super absorbent like linen? Or do I need something thicker like the Primaloft synthetic bags the Jerven sells with as a proper buffer? Don't want to carry an unnecessary synthetic bag that slowly degrades and won't have a proper chance to dry on multi day wet weather treks

Are vapour barrier liners a better bet? I could wear my waterproof socks, trousers and jacket under the down to catch my sweat, or use a trashbag, then wear a balaclava or scarf to catch my breath's moisture

Sleeping bag hood works to keep your bag open a little instead of it being airtight. It covers your eyes, leaves your nose/mouth/chin open to the cold, but your bivy bag can stay open a little way more.
Not a surefire way to stay dry, just something to mitigate it a little.

Yeah, I always wear one of those fleece hood/ facemasks in my 0° bag and it works pretty well down to -20 or so.

it isn't really meant to be for comfortable sleeping, anon, just for hanging out while you're hunting. Why not get a normal bivy sack or better yet, a one man tent?
