I recently found out that the outdoors can kill you if you don't have the right skills to keep yourself alive.
I think that this skill based discrimination is not acceptable in 2022. I have talked to my wife, her son and her boyfriend about this and have also written a strongly worded letter to my congressman. Does anyone else here have any experience with this sort of segregation of the skilled and the unskilled? I think it's a blatant violation of freedom and human rights. I should be able to go anywhere and be safe anywhere in this country.
This is America after all. Please share your stories below, maybe we can get a class action lawsuit filed if we find enough disadvantaged folks who would like to experience the outdoors but are unable to do so because of this blatant structural inequity.
