Yeah I guess I'll make a point of visiting the NY side of Allegheny river. I did a rock maze there and it was nice - been meaning to spend more time out that way. I guess I don't usually spend much time in the towns themselves anyways.
I always do manual gearing for 220, u put it in 5th gear (out of 8) and for the most part that's fine for much of it.
if you want a wild ride take 72 over from Parsons to Canaan Valley - 1 lane basically but 2 way traffic (I think?!) jersey barrier on one side, side of the mountain on the other - there's a reason google maps usually gently suggests you take river rd along dry fork itself instead (which ends up taking you the same place anyways eventually)
