>AlbuquerqueFunky mid-sized city with great hiking in the Sandia mountains east of town, and some cool desert trails in the west. Pic related. Interesting, independent art scene that's lowkey better than Santa Fe's. Weather's good almost year-round.
>FarmingtonArmpit of New Mexico. Resembles a giant meth lab. However, it's only a couple of hours or less by car from some of the best scenery in the West.
>TaosHaven't been yet, but as other anons have said, one of the top ski towns in America.
