Very few spiders are capable of causing even noticeable harm to a person and even fewer are capable of killing or causing permanent injury. Also they're so timid that the chances of them even trying are extremely slim, they almost never do it unless they feel threatened and have no means of retreating. Black widows haven't killed anybody in about 40 years. Even the deadliest spider in the world, the Sydney funnel web, very rarely killed anyone even before the antivenom was created (don't remember exact death toll and time frame admittedly, but I know it was a very small number over multiple decades).
Then there's snakes. There are many snake species that can seriously hurt you and they are more likely to bite than spiders are. Still though, they only bite if they feel threatened. If you watch where you step and are careful about where you place your hands, and you don't intentionally fuck with them, then you are extremely unlikely to get bitten.
>>2315638Brown recluses are nowhere near as dangerous as common rumor says they are. If the bite doesn't get infected (which can happen with literally any open wound), then the absolute worst thing that can happen is that a small patch of skin suffers from necrosis, but even that only happens in a minority of cases. The stories about people getting limbs amputated or whatever are bullshit and originate from misdiagnoses and flat out lies.
