climate's good, the ~6 months of winter months are comfy 15-20 degrees C in the daytime for a good portion of the country but there's some good mountain ranges and ok snowfall down south if you want that.
Australia has basically every biome you could want for /out/
good fishing, good hunting
pretty lax laws surrounding /out/, you dont even need a fishing license in most states and you can generally set up camp wherever the fuck you like.
best part is, because 95% of the population live within 1 hour's drive of the east coast, it means
