>>2317882According to this link, you're getting 17.87 foot pounds of power. Impressive for anything non PCP IMO. I'd take squirrels with it along with rabbits; those in the UK can't even have that much power and take rabbits. Might want to get a .22 if you're going to take rabbits often, though. Might be wrong but I feel you'd get a little better wound with the .22 and probably a little better ability to punch through a skull or rib without deflecting or losing too much power. Your groups look fine IMO. 20 might be pushing it, but you could still probably lung/heart a squirrel at that range if it doesn't have a hole in a knot, nest, or hole in the ground to hide and die in nearby.

Impressive either way; I don't even take mine to 50yds often. When I get to 50, I get .22LR. Way too much drop on pic related. And if you're on /k/, yes I need a new photo. Just haven't taken one. Squirrel season is months away, too, so it'll be a while until I can get something that isn't a similar gun-on-cloth picture.
>>2318140Thrashing means they're dead. Nothing more than disinhibition causing spasms. It's a good sign IMO; they freak me out when they just fall over and lay motionless or worse, their ribcage spasms in a way that looks like breathing.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1INVWP-HnI>>2318339I've seen down to 4-5 work but would not recommend unless you're a good shot, have good pellets, and you're damn close. You'd be surprised what an 880 will do. Sometimes requires a followup, however, so YMMV. I'd recommend 6-7+ for starlings, though. Tough little bastards!
