And my impression of the nature conservancy is they HATE humans and want all their lands to return to monke so they will never add parking or maintain a trail properly.
The national forest already is ridiculous with rules (no e-bikes because boomers don't understand how they work), it doesn't need to be worse.
At a basic level they need more funding + more/better employees. If each NF had 2-3 dedicated full time employees just working on trail maintenance then the trails would be PRISTINE - but that's obviously not the case.
