If you have ever had to navigate, and I mean really navigate, through tractless forest, especially without the benefit of mountains, you'll know how invaluable a compass is.
Boreal forest, and tropical rainforests are where I have the most experience in needing a compass.
Of course GPS units are helpful too, but for quick and accurate navigating between points/places, a good compass can't be beat.
Anyways, let the shit continue to flow, now that we have two god damned compass threads because OP couldn't keep his dick in his pants.
