>>2326570If you're clearing, you'll want something longer i'd say, unless you are a hobbit. Whatever you buy, you'll get blisters on your hand if you don't wear gloves, so as long as the handle isn't obviously unergonomic it'll won't make a lot of difference.
For a working machete that's going to end up whacked into the ground/fence wire now and again there's no point worrying too much about steel etc. you could spend £200 on something fancy that comes razor sharp out the box but it's kinda overkill, some £50 machete of the pattern in your OP pic will do fine, you'll probably need to sharpen it when it arrives to get the most out of it. on Heinnie I would say get that ontario one, martindale look a bit shit (probably fine with a lot of filework).
