Spring is in the air, time to get the composters humming again.
I manage a 5 bay composter very similar to the one in the pic. Got one bay filled with a mixture of grass clippings and two old square bales of hay. Been running at over 75 degrees centigrade for over a week. I know a guy that cuts lawns for a living and he can get loads of fresh cut grass for nothing but, especially at this time of year, I struggle to get enough brown material to balance it out. Any body got any suggestions for a good supply of (preferably free) brown material?

Also, general compost tips, current state of your heaps etc.
