Let's say, hypothetically, someone was to go to an extremely isolated part of a country where mountains/cliffs are, and attempt to dig a small, personal cave to live in permanently. What kind of things would you need, e.g, types of pickaxes, shovels, carving tools, etc? What type of rock would be best to dig, what type would be the least likely to collapse? How would you warm it with a fire without suffocating yourself? What would the dynamics of carving a hole in a mountain, as in, how deep could you dig, could you just carve a cave out of solid stone to have it not be supported like a mineshaft? What would happen if you got caught digging, would anyone care? How warm and survivable could you make a cave to not die in winter? And so on. If anyone has in-depth knowledge on this, plz respond
