I don't camp around other people because I don't live on the east coast, so I don't really care what trashy nig nogs do at camp sites.

i am alone most of the time staying away from populated places and i sometimes listen to radio or podcasts from my phone
people have their preferences and if someone gets to enjoy nature only at weekends or at their vacation once a year holiday they are free to do so and do their thing without listening to anything but nature, i wont bother them and respect their space

Sounds kinda nice to me. I'd be nervous about bothering someone else though. I wouldn't bring anything louder than a harmonica or mini guitar, full guitar especially steel string would be pushing it. If I'm confident I'm alone then who cares obviously.

In a place with other people trying to connect with nature? Absolutely terrible. If there's no one around to bother? Who cares? I bring a pocket radio for when my nocturnal awareness of skinwalkers and serial killers kicks in, and even then it's always next to my ear at a low volume so as not to attract skinwalkers or serial killers.

I brought a guitar once. It was kinda ok to fiddle with. But it was so fuck huge compared to all my other stuff that it seemed kinda dumb to bring for how much I used it. And sure I was concerned if I was making too much noise. I know how far sound can travel. So I don't think it's worth it. Just learn how to sing and hum.

It's really obnoxious and faggy attention whoring unless you're out at a private campsite with other musicians. A guitar isn't a replacement for a lack of a personality, no matter how hard some people try. Do a song or two and put it away unless you're with a bunch of fellow NPCs who can't make good conversation. It's also really bad for the instrument unless you have a total piece of shit you don't mind throwing out after the bridge snaps off in the middle of the night.

A pvc flute is cheap, easy to learn and carry around. An irish style in D can cover a lot of ground. Ocarinas are also nice but I don't have a plastic one worth a fuck and wouldn't feel comfortable carrying a ceramic one around.

I only stay at airbnbs and they tend to be quiet except sometimes there is road noise but I usually try to find airbnbs away from a major road where possible.

The loudest noise is usually dogs barking at each other in the evening.
