Well hiking in the rain is pretty similar to hiking without rain, but I'd be down to hike to something that i could uniquely do in the rain

There are some easily accessed waterfalls near here (kind of an anomaly, seeing as how it’s Mississippi/Louisiana). It always swarming with normie. I went during a heavy rainstorm and it was fantastic. The falls were really heavy, the streams were awoken, everything was slippery, and I had the entire place to myself.

Waterfall hikes are way better in the rain for that reason. Here in upstate NY I've had Letchworth, Stony Brook, Fillmore Glen, Treman, and other waterfalling hotspots all/mostly to myself because casuals can't stand to get a lil wet. Those places are usually packed. Even Watkins Glen and the Niagara Gorge were tolerable in inclement weather.

I think all the best hikes I've been on have been during rain or immediately after a big storm. Come to think of it rainy days are about the only time I DO get out because there's no other plans, no competing commitments etc. Alternatively, just sitting on my porch or under some kind of cover and reading.

I like to sit outside on the porch with a cigarette and watch the rain, sometimes I'll listen to the radio but I mostly like the sound of a nice rain, especially the smell. It's really nice if a friend is over and we can just watch the rain and talk and enjoy each other's company
