when im camping i have a lighter and a box of matches (the little boxes that are essentially the same size as a book of matches) in my mess kit, with my soda can stove, more matches and another lighter and flint in my backpack.
i guess the craziest fire building story was the time that i built a fire and lit in with one strike of flint, not too crazy, but i dont usually mess around with fire. my best friend and my sister are deathly terrified of fire, so if i tried to my plans would get shut down quickly.
